Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic preparation of water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a antimicrobial preservative. Designed primarily for diluting or dissolving medications prior to parenteral administration, the addition of benzyl alcohol allows multiple withdrawals from a single vial over a 28-day shelf life post-entry.
